Search Inside Yourself (SIY) is an interactive program based on mindfulness, emotional intelligence and neuroscience developed by Google for its own employees. It helps you develop skills such as focus, attention, strong communication, cooperation and resilience, which are especially needed in business life, through practices that you can incorporate into your life. Search Inside Yourself: The main objective of the Mindfulness-Based Emotional Intelligence and Leadership Program is to ensure that participants leave the program with concrete skills to develop the five emotional intelligence domains, thus enhancing higher performance and well-being.

 

The SIY program consists of 3 parts.  The first part lasts 6 weeks with 2.5 hours of live sessions per week. The second part includes 28 days of reinforcement practices through SIY Global's digital platform (in English). The last part consists of a 1-hour closing meeting.

How Does the SIY Program Work? 
SIY uses an evidence-based approach that combines neuroscience, mindfulness practices, and practical tools that can be applied to improve emotional intelligence and how we can recognize and move forward with our attitude towards challenges in work and everyday life.


What are the Expected Outcomes of the Program?
Understand that emotional intelligence is a set of skills, that these skills can be developed and that mindfulness is the key practice that unlocks our capacity to develop these skills.
Understand and experience why emotional intelligence is important and the benefits it provides for yourself and others.

Explore each emotional intelligence competency in depth, why it is important and practical ways to develop each one.

Experiential Mindfulness Meditation (Formal Practice) and "In-the-Moment" Mindfulness Applications (Integrated Practice) – Experience these practices and observe their personal effects on you.

Learn communication and mindful listening skills that will help you support others and create healthy team and organizational dynamics.

Learn resilience practices that support well-being and the capacity to stay with challenges, surpassing the conventional understanding of success and failure.

Certificate of Participation

This is an internationally certified program by SIY Global. The program serves as a prerequisite for SIY instructor certification.

Prof. Dr. Gökçe Bulgan

Prof. Dr. Gökçe Bulgan is a faculty member at Istanbul Rumeli University, Department of Psychology (English). For more than 20 years, she has been providing psychological counseling and training services to many individuals in Turkey and the United States. She received her BA and MA in Guidance and Psychological Counseling from Boğaziçi University and her PhD in Counseling Psychology from Purdue University, approved by the American Psychological Association. She is an internationally certified trainer of San Francisco, USA based SIY Global's Search Inside Yourself, mindfulness-based emotional intelligence and leadership skills development program. Gökçe Bulgan gives numerous trainings in Turkey and abroad, consults to international mental health app startups and conducts scientific research on psychological well-being, mindfulness and couple relationships. She is the co-author of Happiness 2.0 published by Elma Publishing House.
